Friday 29th June 2018

This year, on the Friday evening, Regatta participants are cordially invited to a two course “Chilli supper” on-board the Thames barge Ironside moored off Harty Ferry from 18:30 hrs. Comprising of chilli and rice, followed by fruit salad, ice cream and meringue, the cost for which will be £12 per head. Those so wishing may bring their own drink, and glasses.  The sea scouts are booked as trot boats for the evening so those participating are reminded that a life jacket is required. As there is likely to be a high demand and places are strictly limited to 40, it would be useful to reserve your place now if you definitely know you are coming. Please email, or text or call Mandy on 07771 855897 to book.

For those that either can’t eat on the barge due to the fact that we have too many people or want something different, we are suggesting that they can get together on the day and order take-aways which could be brought down to the Harty Ferry hard, and with the help of the sea scouts, be picked up and paid for there.

The now almost legendary Regatta polo shirts will, once again be available to purchase this year. 2018 sees the opportunity for you all to be seen in one of these fetching mid green numbers, at the wallet teasing price of  £10.00. As an added incentive, there will be a prize for the first team across the finish line completing one of the races (Qualifying race to be announced on the morning of the race) who are all wearing their regatta polo shirts (for those who value nostalgia and are often seen adorned in previous year’s garments, we regret that these will not be eligible).

Sizes available: S, M, L, XL, XXL.

Shirts will be available during the regatta weekend, please see a committee member to effect your purchase. Stocks will be limited so first come first served. (We regret that pre-ordering is not possible this year).
